WHAT TO EXPECT FROM HIGH LINE ACTIVE PHYSIOTHERAPY

Initial Assessment and Diagnosis

We’ll conduct a thorough initial assessment to identify the underlying cause of your pain or diagnose the extent of your injury. Throughout this process, we’ll share our knowledge so you have a sound understanding of how to reduce your pain and heal faster.

Treatment and management plan

Once we have identified the issue and have given you the information to understand what’s happening, we use a range of treatment techniques to help reduce symptoms and improve function. Our Richmond Physiotherapy clinic, including fully-equipped gym as utilised by our professional athletes, allows our Physiotherapists to give you the best treatment and rehabilitation. Treatments may include manual therapy, acupuncture, taping and cupping. This then feeds into more active rehabilitation with specific strength and conditioning programs for mobility, general exercise and Pilates.

Referrals and integrated care

We work in an integrative way to achieve the best outcome for you, which means we will liaise in writing or verbally with your personal trainer, fitness class or doctor.

We can also provide referrals to other necessary Allied Health services, including Podiatry, Dietetics, Naturopathy, Sports Doctor, Nutrition or Psychology services as well as for imaging if required.

SUPPORT, EDUCATION AND ADVICE

We help people learn about their bodies, understand the factors behind their pain and improve their overall well-being.

Pain relief advice

Our clients often present with symptoms that can impact and affect their quality of life. Our goal is to help manage and diminish these symptoms as quickly as possible. We use different pain management strategies at our Richmond Physiotherapy clinic that aim to treat the underlying cause of this pain. This process is completely individualised and tailored exactly to your needs.

Postural retraining

We can often find ourselves in uncomfortable positions for long periods of time, whether it's sitting in the car or the office. It takes its toll on your spine and often leads to discomfort and pain. We can provide support through a range of avenues, such as ergonomic modification, postural retraining, treatment, preventative exercises and clinical rehabilitation. Improved postural awareness is valuable to day-to-day lifestyle, limiting the effects that may hinder our ability to move and function.

Injury prevention

At High Line Active our Physiotherapists are committed to creating strategies to reduce the risk of the same issue happening twice. Injury prevention is a key feature of our Richmond Physiotherapy clinic, supported through our Pilates classes and Strength and Conditioning sessions.

Sports and gym training modification

Our highly-qualified Physiotherapists use their exercise knowledge to allow our clients to return to activity/gym/sport in a safe and appropriate way. Throughout your rehabilitation journey, we support you to complete a number of steps until you’re able to go back to the full requirements of your chosen sport, exercise or occupation.
